Key Challenges

The electrical sub main from the sub station on the west of Southtown road had to connect to the new control tower. To avoid disruption to the local road users and main bus route we utilised the trenchless directional drilling method to install the ducts ahead of the cable pull.

Installing the stairs and gantry required the fabrication and installation of a temporary lifting frame fixed to the underside of the control room floor structure.
